Pool Service Review Automation
When a homeowner searches "pool service near me," Google shows three companies. The one with 140 reviews at 4.9 gets the call. The one with 11 reviews at 4.6 doesn't.
I ran a pool company in Gilbert, Arizona for 5 years. Seven trucks, 300 accounts. My techs did great work. We had a fraction of the reviews we'd earned because nobody remembered to ask. The company down the road with worse service had 200 because they asked every time.
PoolCRM asks for you. Every customer, every service, automatically.
How it works
- A service visit is marked complete. In PoolCRM, in Skimmer, or by your tech tapping one button.
- Two hours later the customer gets a text: "Thanks for letting us take care of your pool today. Would you mind leaving us a quick review?" with a link.
- The link opens the Google review box directly. One tap, five stars, done.
- No response in 3 days? One gentle reminder. Then it stops.
- A new review posts. You get a notification. A thank-you reply goes out automatically.
Timing is the whole trick
The pool looks clean today. That's when they're happy. That's when you ask. Requests sent the same day get several times the response of requests sent a week later.
Weekly customers get asked once
A weekly account gets 52 visits a year. Nobody wants 52 review requests. PoolCRM asks once, then never again for that customer unless you trigger it by hand. Repairs and one-time cleanups get asked every time.
Catch unhappy customers before they hit Google
Optional. Before the Google link, ask "How did we do?" on a 1 to 5 scale. Fours and fives go to Google. Ones through threes come to you as a text so you can fix it first.
Some owners want this, some don't. It's a toggle.
What 100 reviews does to a pool company
- Google Maps ranks you higher in the 3-pack for "pool service near me."
- Your ads convert better because the star rating shows in the ad.
- Homeowners stop price shopping. Reviews are the proof.
- Selling the business someday? Review count is one of the first things a buyer checks. I know because mine did.
Pricing
$397 a month. Review automation, missed call text back, quote follow up, two-way texting, pipeline. All included. Setup done for you and your first month covers it.
FAQ
Does it work with Google only, or Yelp and Facebook too?
Google by default. You can add Yelp, Facebook, or Nextdoor and rotate which one gets asked.
Can I edit the message?
Yes. Change the words, the timing, and the reminder. Most owners keep the default.
What if a customer already reviewed us?
They're flagged and never asked again.
How do I trigger it from Skimmer?
Skimmer's service-completed event fires a webhook to PoolCRM. We set that up for you.
Do weekly customers get asked every week?
No. Weekly accounts are asked once. Repairs and one-time cleanups are asked after each job.
Is it legal to ask how someone feels before sending the link?
Asking for feedback first is common practice. We never block anyone from posting. You get a chance to fix a problem before it's public. Check your state's rules if you want to be careful.
